美国石油钻井总数连增11周，升至2015年9月来最高水平，美国国内原油产量紧随其后上升，再次向欧佩克减产泼冷水；此外，还有成千上万库存井等待完工，一旦“完井”环节结束，新原油产量将蜂拥而至；目前原油现货市场已十分疲软，几乎所有品种的中东原油都折价出售，因美国、北海和西非都趁减产抢占市场份额；更糟糕的是，沙特已开始对市场份额减少感到慌张，其或在5月下调对亚洲的官方原油售价以重新争夺市场份额，一旦战役打响，油价堪忧。
