美国经济谘商会周二公布，7月消费者信心指数升至117，为2021年7月以来的新高，6月份上修为110.1。该数据远超预期，此前经济学家预期读数在112左右。
与此同时，最新调查显示，7月份制造业活动依然低迷。7月份里奇蒙德制造业指数微降至-9。其三个分项指数中的两个，装船指数和新订单也略有下降。发货指数从6月份的-5微降至7月份的-6，而新订单指数从-16降至-20。
