周一（5月27日）日元微微走高，不过还未呈现出有说服力的反弹。年内累计近11%的跌幅让很多交易者感到困惑，他们此前预计政策差距收窄能够扭转走势。
G7财政部长上周六重申对于汇市异常波动的警示，这被视为允许日本政府未来进行干预的许可。
联合声明前日本首席货币外交官神田真人就已经严正警告，表示东京准备好在任何时候出手抑制投机性做空日元。
尽管如此，仍无法确定G7成员国可以容忍人为操纵多长时间。美国财政部部长耶伦上周再次呼吁，把汇率交给市场决定。
日本央行行长植田和男指出，一季度GDP萎缩没有改变经济在温和复苏的观点。一些分析人士认为，疲软数据会阻碍加息进程。
日本股市显然更受欢迎。路透一份调查显示，在企业健康前景和全球经济稳健的支撑下，日经指数年末预计在40750位置。
围绕日元汇率的不确定性对于股市情绪造成了一些损害，不过一些人认为日元潜在升值产生的负面影响会十分有限。
