为什么交易者在投机市场生存的时间很短？因为在市场里长期存活需要的条件或者说素质，是一串长长的生存必要条件清单。譬如：通晓技术分析知识、基本分析原理、人性坦诚、敢于担当、接纳合理亏损、具有超强的对挫折的耐受性、有相当的胆略和魄力、心态平和等等。
但是，即使你知道或者具备这些能力，都不能保证在市场里长久的赢利。因为没有足够的专业经验应对市场的各种变化，实战的考验对人来说是全方位能力的考核，这一关是万夫难越之门。虽然每个人都有过运气的或然率支持在某个时机获取利润，可随着时间的推移你会发现，生存的概率越来越低，十年以上直到接近低至千分之几的生存概率。
