Emas (XAU/USD) telah menembus level tertinggi baru sepanjang masa di $2,482 selama sesi Asia pada hari Rabu. Kenaikan logam kuning ini disebabkan oleh menguatnya ekspektasi bahwa suku bunga di AS akan turun pada bulan September, dan meningkatnya permintaan dari pembeli di Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), menurut analis di Canadian Investment Bank TD Securities.
Ekspektasi penurunan suku bunga oleh Federal Reserve (Fed) AS merupakan pendorong bullish utama bagi Emas karena penurunan suku bunga mengurangi opportunity cost untuk memegang aset tanpa bunga.
