特朗普称总统应影响美联储决
当地时间周四（8月8日），美国前总统、共和党总统候选人特朗普表示，美国总统应该要对央行利率和货币政策有一定的发言权。
在讲话中，他还批评现任美联储主席鲍威尔在调整利率方面“有的时候太早，也有的时候太晚”，暗示其采取决策行动的时机不够精准。
显而易见的是，这些言论以及潜在的行动必然会引起外界的忧虑，即如果特朗普在年内晚些时候重回白宫，美联储还能否保持其长期标榜的“独立性”。
一般认为，美联储的独立性有助于维护经济稳定。另外，作为全球最重要的央行，美联储的独立性不仅对美国国内经济至关重要，也影响到全球金融市场和其他国家的经济政策。独立性帮助维持美元的全球储备货币地位，确保美国在国际经济事务中的主导地位。
但特朗普的说法也有一定道理。
比如本轮美国的高通胀和高利率，就是因为美联储在2022年时误判形势，认为通胀不会持续，导致现今央行不得不将高利率维持更长一段时间。
上月底，美联储顶着外界巨大的降息压力“按兵不动”。而在失业率触发了“萨姆规则”后，华尔街投行、经济学家、国会议员等纷纷指责该行错过了降息的最佳时机。
