Daily digest market movers: Bumababa ang Australian Dollar sa data ng CPI
- Ang July Consumer Price Index (CPI) ng Australia ay dumating sa 3.5% YoY, bahagyang mas mataas kaysa sa inaasahan ngunit nasa loob pa rin ng target na hanay ng RBA.
- Bumagsak sa 3.8% y/y ang trimmed mean inflation, ang pinakamababang antas nito mula noong Enero.
- Ipinahiwatig ng RBA na hindi malamang na bawasan ang mga rate ng interes sa malapit na termino, ngunit ang merkado ay patuloy na umaasa ng 25 bp na pagbawas sa pagtatapos ng taon.
- Kung ang RBA ay nagpapahiwatig ng isang hawkish na diskarte, ang downside para sa Aussie ay limitado.
