Pembuat kebijakan Bank Sentral Eropa (ECB) dan Gubernur bank sentral Slovakia Peter Kazimir mengatakan pada hari Senin bahwa akan diperlukan perubahan signifikan dalam prospek bagi ECB untuk menurunkan suku bunga kebijakan lebih lanjut pada bulan Oktober. "ECB hampir pasti harus menunggu hingga Desember untuk penurunan suku bunga berikutnya," tambahnya, menurut Reuters

Kazimir berpendapat bahwa akan ada sangat sedikit informasi baru yang tersedia sebelum pertemuan Oktober, dan mengatakan bahwa akan lebih aman untuk menunggu prospeknya menjadi lebih jelas.
