Lạm phát giá tiêu dùng tại Úc đã giảm xuống mức thấp nhất trong 3 năm vào tháng 8, nhờ vào các khoản trợ cấp điện từ chính phủ và giá xăng giảm. CPI hàng năm tăng 2,7%, giảm từ mức 3,5% vào tháng 7, phù hợp với dự đoán của thị trường. Lạm phát lõi, đo lường bằng chỉ số trung bình cắt bỏ, giảm xuống 3,4% từ mức 3,8%, vẫn cao hơn mục tiêu 2-3% của Ngân hàng Dự trữ Úc.
