Theo Bloomberg, Israel đã tiến hành các cuộc không kích vào các mục tiêu ở miền Nam Lebanon, giết chết gần 500 người trong một trong những ngày giao tranh đẫm máu nhất trong gần hai thập kỷ và làm dấy lên lo ngại về một cuộc xung đột toàn diện.
Bộ Y tế Lebanon cho biết Israel đã tiến hành các cuộc không kích rộng rãi nhất nhằm vào Hezbollah, giết chết ít nhất 492 người. Đây là ngày bạo lực đẫm máu nhất kể từ cuộc nội chiến 1975-1990.
