外汇交易中，杠杆是什么意思？
你很可能会奇怪，像你这样的散户投资者怎么能够交易如此大规模的货币。你可以这样设想，你的经纪商借给你100,000美元来购买货币。而它只要求你给它1,000美元作为信用保证金，它将代为你保管这笔资金。听上去是不是太美了，感觉不太真实？这就是杠杆交易的工作原理。
你使用的杠杆比例取决于你的经纪商以及你能够承受的水平。
一般来说，经纪商将首先要求交易者在其账户中存入一笔资金，这笔资金即我们所熟知的“账户保证金”或“初始保证金”。一旦你存入了你的资金，你就能够用它来进行交易。经纪商也会规定，每一手交易所需要的保证金水平。
比如说，如果杠杆比例是100:1(或1%的头寸要求)，你打算进行100,000美元的交易，但是，你的账户中仅有5,000美元。这并没有什么大不了，因为你的经纪商将从5,000美元中拿出1,000美元，作为你的首付款，或者是“保证金”，并允许你“借入”余下的资金。当然，任何损失或者盈利都将在你的账户现金余额中进行减记或者增加。
最低保证金要求因经纪商而异。在上一例子中，该经纪商允许1%的保证金。这意味着，每进行100,000美元交易，经纪商希望你存入1,000美元作为交易头寸。
