CJC Markets, a New Zealand-based forex and contract for differences broker, has appointed Yasir Mubarak as it’s head of global institutional sales.
Based in Jordon, Mubarak is a well-known forex commentator in the Arab world and is a veteran in the industry with experience of around 18 years.
At CJC, he will be responsible for the institutional side of the business as well as any retail inquiry that needs assistance to get into the market, including the provision of liquidity services to other Forex brokers and traders, he told Finance Magnates.
He will also oversee the broker’s “agent / IB / Affiliate programs.”
The appointment came when New Zealand’s Financial Markets Authority-licensed broker is eying to expand into the MENA region, away from its Asia-Pacific stronghold.
Covering both retail and institutional FX
Along with his role at CJC, he will also continue to be the senior market strategist for two popular forex portals.
“Being on both sides, the sales side and deep technical and risk management side, allowed me to understand the clients’ demands very well, this helped me improve the business on both sides,” Mubarak told Finance Magnates.
Before his recent roles, he was the broker consultant at JazereeraFX and also a strategic operations manager for Ajax for six years, where he was responsible for the company’s expansion into the Asian and North African region and also built partnerships in the regions.
Started as a financial analyst, he had stints with many global and regional brokers.
“CJC Markets Group is taking care of all types of clients, and I will make sure that we provide the best out of this industry to our clients, focusing on the institutional side of this business; serving brokers, affiliates, introducing brokers, fund managers, and all other types of clients,” Mubarak added.
