Pasardana.id - Indeks Nikkei 225 di Bursa Efek Tokyo, Jepang, terjun 4.490,04 poin, atau sekitar 12,5 persen, pada Senin (5/8/2024), menjadi 31.419,66. Indeks Topix terjun 12,33 persen menjadi 2.227,15.

Seperti dilansir AFP, indeks Nikkei mengalami penurunan tajam dipicu lonjakan nilai tukar yen, pengetatan kebijakan moneter, dan melambatnya pertumbuhan ekonomi Amerika Serikat.

Saham Chiba Bank memimpin pelemahan hari ini dengan terjun bebas 23,73 persen. Saham perusahaan pengapalan Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha dan perusahaan manufaktur mesin industri Ebara masing-masing tergelincir 21,81 persen dan 20,83 persen.

Saham perusahaan perdagangan Mitsui & Co dan perusahaan keuangan Mizuho Financial Group masing-masing anjlok 20,53 persen dan 20,12 persen. Saham perusahaan asuransi T&D Holdings dan Tokio Marine Holdings masing-masing turun 19,88 persen dan 19,82 persen.

Nilai tukar dolar AS melemah 2,3 persen terhadap yen menjadi 143 yen per dolar AS.
