Wall Street Dibuka Koreksi Terbebani Kekhawatiran Resesi AS
IDXChannel - Indeks utama Wall Street anjlok pada hari Senin (5/8/2024). Kekhawatiran investor terhadap ancaman resesi AS masih membebani pasar, seiring data ekonomi yang dirilis baru-baru ini.
Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI), turun 681,07 poin atau 1,71 persen di 39.056,19. S&P 500 (.SPX) dibuka lebih rendah sebesar 3,66 persen pada 5.151,14. Sementara Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC) turun 6,34 persen 15.712,53 pada bel pembukaan.
Goldman Sachs Sebut Potensi Resesi AS MeningkatIndeks Volatilitas CBOE (.VIX), melonjak ke level tertinggi 65,73, naik sekitar 42 poin. Indikator yang mengukur kecemasan pasar ini terakhir naik 34 poin pada 57,15, tertinggi sejak Maret 2020.
"Sepertinya ini krisis likuiditas. Ini sangat tidak biasa," kata Manajer Portofolio untuk Rational Equity Armor Fund, Joe Tigay, dilansir Reuters, Senin (5/8/2024).
