Indeks Nikkei Melonjak 1,19 Persen

Indeks Nikkei 225 di Bursa Efek Tokyo, Jepang, melonjak 414,16 poin, atau sekitar 1,19 persen, pada Rabu (7/8/2024), menjadi 35.089,62. Indeks Topix melonjak 2,26 persen menjadi 2.489,3.

Seperti dilansir AFP, indeks Nikkei melonjak setelah Wakil Gubernur Bank of Japan Shinichi Uchida mengatakan volatilitas pasar saham berpeluang mengubah arah pergerakan suku bunga bank sentral Jepang.

Saham perusahaan baja Japan Steel Works memimpin penguatan hari ini dengan melambung 12,65 persen. Saham perusahaan semikonduktor Disco melonjak 12,63 persen.

Saham perusahaan keuangan Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group dan Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group masing-masing meningkat 10,8 persen dan 9,56 persen. Saham Mizuho Financial Group dan Chiba Bank masing-masing menguat 8,92 persen dan 8,87 persen.

Nilai tukar dolar Amerika Serikat menguat 2,35 persen menjadi 147,8 yen per dolar AS.
