IDXChannel - Wall Street menguat pada pembukaan perdagangan Senin (19/8) waktu setempat. Penguatan ini melanjutkan reli di tengah spekulasi bahwa The Fed akan memberi sinyal siap memulai pemangkasan suku bunga acuan.
Indeks Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) naik menjadi 40.896,53, S&P 500 (.SPX) mendaki ke 5.608,25, dan Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC) melesat ke level 17.876,77.
Wall Street Menguat di Akhir Pekan, Investor Menanti Pidato The FedSemua kelompok utama di S&P 500 naik, dengan indeks menguat selama delapan hari berturut-turut, rekor kenaikan terpanjang sejak November, mengutip dari Bloomberg, Selasa (20/8) waktu Jakarta.
Sementara saham teknologi memimpin kenaikan pada Senin, seperti Microsoft Corp. Pun dengan Russell 2000 dari perusahaan-perusahaan kecil naik 1,2 persen.
