Fed Rate Mau Turun, BI Rate Bakal Ikutan

Pasardana.id - Para pelaku pasar memperkirakan bunga acuan Fed Fund Rate bisa turun di dua bulan mendatang, yakni September dan Desember nanti.

Perkiraannya masing-masing 25 bps.

Menurut Office of Chief Economist Bank Mandiri, data-data ekonomi AS mulai menunjukkan penurunan.

"Sehingga membuka peluang untuk penurunan Fed Funds Rate (FFR) yang lebih cepat," katanya, Kamis (22/8/2024).

Selain itu, Gubernur The Fed Jerome Powell juga menyatakan kekhawatirannya bahwa menahan suku bunga terlalu tinggi dalam waktu yang terlalu lama dapat membahayakan pertumbuhan ekonomi AS.

Office of Chief Economist Bank Mandiri pun memproyeksikan BI Rate akan berada di level 6,00% pada akhir tahun ini. Kemudian, nilai tukar rupiah akan mencapai 15.813 per US$ pada akhir tahun 2024.

Sebagai informasi, hingga bulan ini, Bank Indonesia masih mempertahankan tingkat suku bunga acuan BI Rate di level 6,25%.
