Harga Minyak Dunia Turun Dipicu Pulihnya Produksi

Harga minyak dunia turun pada Jumat (13/9/2024) dipicu pulihnya produksi minyak mentah di kawasan Teluk Meksiko usai dilanda Badai Tropis Francine. 

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman Oktober 2024 turun 32 sen, atau sekitar 0,5 persen, menjadi US$68,65 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange. 

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman November 2024 merosot 36 sen, atau sekitar 0,5 persen, menjadi US$71,61 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange. 

Dalam sepekan terakhir, harga minyak WTI dan Brent masing-masing naik 0,8 persen dan 1,4 persen.  

Menurut Bob Yawger, direktur energy futures Mizuho di New York, produksi minyak di kawasan Teluk Meksiko dan proses penyulingan telah kembali pulih saat ini, membuat para investor melepas kontrak minyak jelang akhir pekan  

Aktivitas penyulingan diperkirakan akan kembali beroperasi 100 persen pada awal pekan depan.  

Sementara itu, laporan yang dirilis perusahaan jasa perminyakan Baker Hughes menyebutkan jumlah fasilitas pemboran minyak yang aktif di AS naik delapan pada pekan yang berakhir 13 September menjadi 590.
