矿商在发现另一颗重大钻石几周后 又发现了1094克拉的钻石
【友财网讯】-卢卡拉钻石公司(Lucara Diamond Corp.)在博茨瓦纳的一个矿场又发现了一颗巨大的钻石，这是该公司一个月内发现的第二颗重大钻石。
该公司在一份声明中说，这颗最新的钻石重达1094克拉，是在Karowe矿山发现的。虽然它比8月份在同一地点发现的2942克拉的钻石要小，但它仍然是迄今为止发现的最大的钻石——著名的南非库里南钻石（Cullinan Diamond）的三分之一。
卢卡拉的Karowe项目以巨大的钻石而闻名，上个月，当最初的巨大发现被宣布后，该公司的股价飙升了三分之一以上。首席执行官威廉·兰柏（William Lamb）表示，最新的发现进一步证实了该基地地下容量的扩大，这将使项目的使用寿命至少延长到2040年。
兰柏说:“随着我们地下开发的进展，我们对Karowe未来生产这些传奇钻石的能力越来越有信心，巩固了我们在高端钻石市场的地位。”
