Harga Minyak Dunia Turun Empat Sesi Beruntun

Pasardana.id - Harga minyak dunia turun sesi keempat beruntun pada Rabu (16/10/2024) mencapai harga terendah dalam dua pekan terakhir. 

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman November 2024 turun 19 sen, atau sekitar 0,3 persen, menjadi US$70,39 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange. 

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman Desember 2024 merosot 3 sen menjadi US$74,22 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange. 

Penurunan harga minyak dunia dipicu meredanya tensi geopolitik di Timur Tengah setelah Israel menyatakan tidak akan menyerang fasilitas nuklir dan minyak Iran. 

Iran merupakan anggota Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) dan memproduksi 4 juta barel minyak per hari pada 2023. Iran mengekspor sekitar 1,5 juta barel minyak per hari tahun ini, lebih tinggi dari ekspektasi ekspor 1,4 juta barel per hari. 

Iran mendukung beberapa kelompok militer yang memerangi Israel, seperti Hezbollah di Lebanon, Hamas di Gaza, dan Houthis di Yaman.
