拜登政府批准锂矿增加供应
【友财网讯】-拜登政府首次批准了一个锂矿项目，加大了将美国关键矿产供应链从亚洲转移的努力。
根据Ioneer公司周四的一份声明，该公司在内华达州的Rhyolite Ridge锂硼项目已经获得了土地管理局的联邦许可。
Ioneer计划在2025年开始建设，并计划在2028年首次生产。
在获得批准之际，美国正竞相建立对能源转型至关重要的关键矿产的国内供应。
长期以来，中国一直主导着对电动汽车至关重要的大宗商品的全球产量，而锂是可充电电池的关键成分。
内华达州的另一个锂矿项目，美国锂公司（lithium America Corp.）的Thacker Pass，于2021年获得了特朗普政府的批准。
对美国生产的大部分支持来自政府。
作为福特汽车（Ford Motor Co.）和丰田汽车（Toyota Motor Corp.）的潜在供应商，Ioneer去年从美国能源部（Department of Energy）获得了最高7亿美元的有条件承诺。
今年3月，美国能源部还向lithium America Corp.提供了22.6亿美元的有条件贷款。
