石破茂再次当选日本首相
11月11日，在日本众议院首相指名选举决胜轮投票中，自民党总裁石破茂获胜，再次当选日本首相。
石破茂1957年2月出生于政治世家，其父石破二郎曾任鸟取县知事。石破茂曾5次参选自民党总裁。2008年首次参选，2012年惜败于安倍晋三。2018和2020年又曾两度出马，但均以失败告终。2024年第5次参选，在与高市早苗的决胜轮中逆势翻盘，当选自民党第28任总裁。
今年10月1日，石破茂当选日本第102任首相，上任8天后即宣布解散众议院，创下了战后首相当选后解散众议院的最快纪录。10月27日，新一届众议院选举进行投计票，结果由自民党和公明党组成的执政联盟失利，未能获得新一届众议院过半席位。根据日本宪法规定，众议院选举举行后的30天内，必须召集特别国会，进行首相指名选举。
按照规则和流程，首相指名选举按照先众议院后参议院的顺序进行。这是日本历史上众议院首相指名选举第五次进入到决胜轮投票。上一次众议院首相指名选举进入决胜轮投票，发生在30年前的1994年。
