据华尔街日报报道，特朗普提名财长人选贝森特称，政策重点将是兑现减税承诺。这些承诺包括使他的第一任期减税永久化，以及取消小费税、社会保障福利税和加班费税。他表示，制定关税和削减开支也将成为重点，同时“保持美元作为世界储备货币的地位”。贝森特主张“3-3-3”政策主张，即到2028年将预算赤字降至GDP的3%、通过放松管制实现3%的GDP增长、每日增产300万桶石油或等量能源。
