Inflasi AS Berpotensi Naik, Wall Street Dibuka Variatif
IDXChannel - Indeks utama Wall Street dibuka variatif pada perdagangan Selasa (10/12/2024). Investor bersiap menyambut data inflasi Consumer Price Index (CPI) yang diproyeksi meningkat tipis dari periode sebelumnya.
Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) melemah 0,23 persen ke 44.301,12, S&P 500 (.SPX) tumbuh 0,09 persen menjadi 6.058,45, sementara Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC) naik 0,32 persen, menjadi 19.800,25.
Indeks harga konsumen (CPI) periode November bakal dirilis pada Rabu depan. Angka ini menjadi kabar makro terakhir menjelang pertemuan Federal Reserve pada 17-18 Desember 2024.
Konsensus memproyeksikan inflasi naik 2,7 persen year-on-year (yoy), dari sebelumnya 2,6 persen. Sementara inflasi bulanan juga diramal naik 0,3 persen month-over-month (MoM), dari sebelumnya 0,2 persen.
Melansir Investing, Selasa (10/12/2024), indikator FedWatch malam ini melihat peluang sebesar 86 persen, bahwa Fed akan memangkas suku bunga sebesar 25 bps.
Meski demikian, Fed diperkirakan bakal mulai menghentikan siklus pelonggaran kebijakan moneter pada Januari.
