BI Rate Tetap, Rupiah Menguat Tipis ke Rp16.097 per USD
IDXChannel - Rupiah hari ini ditutup menguat 3 poin atau 0,02 persen ke level Rp16.097 per USD usai pengumuman BI Rate yang tetap dipertahankan di level 6 persen.
Pengamat Pasar Uang, Ibrahim Assuaibi mengatakan, pelemahan Rupiah disebabkan oleh sentimen eksternal, yaitu The Fed secara luas diharapkan memangkas suku bunga sebesar 25 basis poin, tetapi fokusnya akan tertuju pada proyeksi ekonomi masa depan The Fed dan komentar Ketua Jerome Powell.
Rupiah Sentuh Rp16 Ribu, BI Diproyeksi Tahan Suku Bunga "Sinyal tentang prospek suku bunga jangka panjang The Fed tetap menjadi fokus karena inflasi tetap membandel dan diperkirakan terus meningkat di bawah Presiden Donald Trump yang akan datang," tulis Ibrahim dalam risetnya, Rabu (18/12/2024).
Selain The Fed, Bank of Japan (BOJ) dan Bank of England (BOE) juga dijadwalkan mengummkan keputusan suku bunga acuan pekan ini. BOE diharapkan mempertahankan suku bunga tetap stabil, sementara pasar terbagi atas apakah BOJ akan menaikkan suku bunga lebih lanjut.
