2月24日和2月25日，保监会分别公布了对前海人寿、恒大人寿的处罚措施。保监会对前海人寿处以共计80万元罚款，撤销前海人寿董事长姚振华任职资格且禁止他进入保险业10年，对其他多名负责人予以警告并处罚款。同时保监会限制恒大人寿股票投资业务一年，并分别对时任恒大人寿董事会秘书及副总经理刘浩、投资管理中心股票投资部总经理吕海龙处以5年和3年的行业禁入处罚。此前，证监会主席刘士余曾暗示大举投资股票市场的险资为“野蛮人”。在用于融资并投资股票市场的万能险产品被禁后，前海人寿的现金流或许将面临一定压力；恒大人寿也将调整业务产品结构，改为稳健投资。
