发展中国家和转型经济国家外汇储备大规模的增加可能是一个长期现象，只要亚洲地区不建立某种形式的货币联盟，只要全球货币制度不统一，除了美国和欧盟国家之外的其他国家和地区，其中亚洲国家和地区尤甚，就必须持有大量的外汇储备。
换言之，要改变目前这样一种状态，根本的解决办法，
一是形成新的国际货币制度，形成新的国际储备资产的产生方式；
二是形成亚洲货币区，以与美元和欧元两大货币区相抗衡。这是我们今后一个相当长时期的任务，
