美国曾有一家银行因违规营业以及财务上的问题，被联邦政府勒令关闭。该公司被接管后，马上通知所有的有款人前往提款。因为美国的银行有十万元的存款保障，也就是说银行倒闭时客户的存款若在十万元以内，都不会受到损失。可是有许多人的存款超过十万元，有的甚至高达百万美元。结果毕生积蓄化为乌有，损失惨重。
启示：个人和家庭在进行资产配置时，记住不要把所有的鸡蛋放在一个篮子里，尽量做到多元化投资，分散风险。
