英国央行(BOE)在5月持续升息、缩表以阻挡通胀持续升温，但关注其第一季GDP年增率(8.7%)，可发现虽然在低基期基础下有不错的表现，但仍低于市场预期，值得注意的是，英国已于第一季全面经济解封，但占比超过6成的民间消费季增率仅有0.6%，可见高通胀正逐步侵蚀人民的购买力，且根据英国所公布的4月消费者物价指数年增为9%，是自上世纪80年代末英国官方开始调查以来的最高水准，在IMF 4月的报告当中，预测英国在2023年的经济成长率尚有1.2%，但其表现将垫底所有先进国家。面对如此重的经济下行压力、通胀高涨，英国央行是否能顺利收紧货币政策，仍待观察。
