成者筑于心。古人学武一般都有四种境界：初学时，手中无剑，心中也无剑；学到一定程度时，手中有了剑，但心中仍没有剑的感觉；学到炉火纯青时，手中剑飞，心中剑舞，内心所悟与手中招术完全相通相融，剑到心到，心止剑止，感觉极佳，此一层境界，讲求人剑合一，剑就是人，人就是剑，手中寸草，也是利器；再学到完全悟出“剑道”之时，便心中有剑而手中无剑了，手上有没有剑剑好不好坏不坏已无关紧要，信手拈来枯草枝叶皆可以成为剑，此一层境界，讲求手中无剑，剑在心中，虽赤手空拳，却能以剑气杀敌百步之外。真正的武林高手是最后这种境界。
