其他数据显示，受飓风海伦和波音持续近一个月的罢工影响，上周美国初请失业金人数大增3.3万人，经季节调整后为25.8万人，为2023年8月初以来最高，且增幅为2021年7月以来最大。这也是昨天行情出现急速翻转的原因，虽然通胀反弹了，但是失业人数也增加了。
另外美联储票委古尔斯比表示：美国目前的通胀水平符合预期，住房市场有所改善。总体趋势显然是通胀已经大幅下降，就业市场已降温至充分就业水平；三号人物威廉姆斯称：随着时间的推移，将政策转向中性是合适的；
但是也有华尔街媒体报道称，2024美联储票委、亚特兰大联储博斯蒂克认为：“如果数据表明这样做是合适的，那我完全可以接受跳过下次会议。（意思就是11月会议不降息）”
伴随着这番言论，CME“美联储观察”工具显示，11月决议不降息的概率从早些时候的10%左右升回20%
