无名，万物之始也；有名，万物之母也。故恒无欲也，以观其妙；恒有欲也，以观其所徼。两者同出，异名同谓，玄之又玄，众妙之门。
万物产生之前，这个世界没有名相；万物开始形成的时候，道是万物的母亲。所以用没有欲望的纯粹的状态去观察，可以观察到道的奥妙；也要经常以自己的角度观察道的边界。有名和无名是从同一个源头出来的，虽然名字不同但说的是一件事，玄妙加上玄妙，这就是所有精微的道的路径。
黄金本身有自己运行的规律，如果采用无欲的状态去合理分析，也许能发现其中的奥妙。但往往我们会加上自己内心的倾向，认为黄金应该怎么样，这时候就很难客观看待行情了。另一方面如果要操作我们必须以自己的角度，带着自己所学的知识和思想去观察黄金的走势。而不是被这单我会赚多少，下一单我又要赚多少钱这种欲望驱使。一旦预期落空，就很容易被愤怒冲昏头脑，报复性操作。所以一方面我们要客观公正的看待走势，另一方面也要努力提升自身所学，积累经验和数据，运用知识去判断最有可能的走向。
