US Stocks fell on Tuesday as stronger-than-expected economic data led to a spike in Treasury yields and raised concerns about the Fed’s rate cut plans. The S&P 500 dropped 0.9%, the Dow lost 154 points, and the Nasdaq slid 1.6%. Economic data showed faster growth in the U.S. services sector, fueling inflation fears. The 10-year Treasury yield rose nearly 6 basis points to 4.675%. Commodity Gold prices pared earlier gains on Tuesday, pressured by a stronger dollar and rising Treasury yields, as U.S. job openings dampened hopes for significant Fed rate cuts. Spot gold rose 0.5% to $2,647.96, while U.S. futures gained 0.6% to $2,662.60. Oil prices rose on concerns over tighter supply from Russia and Iran and stronger expected Chinese demand.
