US Stocks remained mostly unchanged on Tuesday as investors absorbed cautious remarks from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell regarding interest rates. Worries continue about the economic outlook due to U.S. tariffs and the potential escalation of a global trade war. The S&P 500 rose by 0.1%, while the Nasdaq Composite declined by nearly 0.1%. Commodity Oil prices rose on Tuesday, driven by concerns over potential disruptions to Russian and Iranian oil supplies and sanctions, despite fears that escalating trade tariffs could hurt global growth. Brent crude gained $1.11, or 1.46%, to $76.98 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 99 cents, or 1.37%, to $73.31. Gold prices eased as investors took profits after hitting a record high, though concerns over a global trade war kept sentiment positive. Spot gold fell 0.1% to $2,904.87 per ounce, after peaking at $2,942.70 earlier.
