煤炭股延续近期跌势，截至发稿，中国神华(01088)跌2.89%，报31.95港元；兖矿能源(01171)跌2.63%，报9.64港元；兖煤澳大利亚(03668)跌1.57%，报34.55港元；中煤能源(01898)跌0.66%，报7.56港元。
长江证券指出，机构对高弹性煤炭股业绩稳定性疑虑加深或为煤炭板块大幅回调的主因。该行认为，考虑到疆煤&澳煤进口成本支撑线仍在800元/吨以上，因此即使今年来水偏丰&经济偏弱，煤价仍有望维持当前水平震荡；若来水后续走弱，旺季煤价有望震荡向上。此外，当前时点，虽然煤炭赔率未必较高，但由于其健康的资产负债表、确定性的现金流和红利，其防御属性依然突出。
华泰证券则指出，7月至今红利资产回调。市场缩量调整的后程，往往出现强势行业补跌，行业间估值分化系数收敛，煤炭是本轮的典型代表。该行指出，周期型资源红利，盈利周期高位，海外大选交易与全球资金降杠杆，国内G端加杠杆待观察，波动或加大，或宜观望为主。
