特朗普：宁愿不对中国加征关税
据路透社、彭博社等报道，当地时间周四晚播出的福克斯新闻采访中，美国总统特朗普表示，他“宁愿不对中国征收关税”，但称关税是一种对华“巨大力量“。
他说：“我们对中国有一种非常大的力量，那就是关税，他们不想要关税。我宁愿不用它。但这是对中国的巨大力量。”
当被问及是否能够与中国就公平贸易做法达成协议时，特朗普回答道，“我可以做到这一点。”
正式就任美国总统第二天，特朗普便继续向中国挥舞“关税大棒”，威胁称考虑从2月1日起，对中国出口到美国的商品加征关税10%。
对于美方关税威胁，1月22日的中国外交部例行记者会上，发言人毛宁回应表示， 中方已多次表明立场。我们始终认为，贸易战、关税战没有赢家。中方始终坚定维护国家利益。
隔天（23日），中国商务部新闻发言人何亚东也指出，中方在关税问题上的立场是一贯的。关税措施不利于中美双方，也不利于整个世界。中方愿按照相互尊重、和平共处、合作共赢的原则，与美方共同推动中美经贸关系朝着稳定、健康、可持续的方向发展。
