白宫给美国公务员下“最后通牒”：全职到岗上班，或者拿八个月补偿走人
据华尔街日报报道，白宫近日向联邦员工发出通知，要求员工在全职回归办公室和选择辞职之间作出选择。
美国人事管理办公室（OPM）周二晚间发出的邮件显示，特朗普政府要求所有联邦员工在2月6日之前决定，若选择辞职，则将获得8个月的全额工资和福利，同时在此期间免于面对面工作要求。
特朗普政府同时明确表示，即使继续留任，员工的职位也可能面临被削减的风险。
白宫官员表示，强制要求员工返回办公室将导致5%-10%的联邦员工辞职，并预期这一政策能够每年节省高达1000亿美元的开支。
特朗普此举颇受争议，来自弗吉尼亚州的民主党参议员Tim Kaine警告称，这一选择存在不确定性，并提醒联邦员工小心特朗普可能随时变卦的风险。
如果你接受这个提议并辞职，特朗普可能会拒绝支付任何款项。
此外，此项政策也令许多国家安全及外交官员感到困惑，因为政策文件并未清晰阐明哪些人员可以享受辞职补偿。
根据皮尤研究中心的调查，除去军队和邮政服务，2024年时美国联邦政府共有240多万名员工。大部分联邦员工在疫情后已逐渐回归办公室，约80%的工作时长都发生在办公室。
